'The Motorcyclist' magazine October 1940 has the debut of the Crocker 'Scootabout'. checking the records shows a list of employees. funny thing 8 employees were under 22 yrs old, plus Bigsby, Rhyne, Mount and the Boss, Albert H Crocker. The 1940 LA yellow pages has adverts for the Crocker Scooter. no mention of a V-twin. Harry Sucher wrote an article in 1971 mentioning Ernie Skelton making patterns for Crocker V-twins. Elmo Looper's son was born 1947, he doesnt know anything about the legendary "Crocker inventory". Seems that story was created by Harry Sucher, Chuck Vernon and Skelton, to supplement the 'Crocker Register' story. Elmo Looper didnt own a motorcycle in the late 1950s, until 1967 = a Phelon & Moore Panther
