Some of what I remember reading about Roger and Joel was in there CZ riding days, was how they would trailer their bikes behind the car that they shared. And more often then not slept in the car while traveling to the next race site. No support to speak of, compared to racing today.Cold food and few showers,little money, the racing was spirit was alive and kicking!
While I admired Decoster I was way more a fan of the Swedish MX stars of the mid 70's. Guys like Hakan Andersson, Ake Jonsson, Arne Kring, Thorleif Hansen, Bengt Aberg and Christer Hammargren
The closest we came to de coster in the uk jeff, was Dave thorpe.....but nowhere close to what roger achieved...
